American Workers - How Many Government Employees and Dependents Are You Supporting? (Unfinished Data)
The New Serfs - Private Sector American Workers
As Americans struggle with general inflation, high gas prices, outrageous housing costs, soaring food expenditures, and all of the other dynamics that are crushing them, making it impossible for 4 in 10 to afford a $400 emergency, it’s important to remember that the oppressive tax rates they are paying is for a lot of government employees, government dependents, and societal parasites.
There are 135M working Americans that don’t work for the government at any level, but 23M that are government employees of some ilk.
There are 177M that don’t work at all-
But 78M are non-working children, so that leaves 99M.
Of that 99M, 54M are over 65, but of that 54M, 14M are STILL working, so that takes our 99M down to 59M non-workers, that are neither small children, non-working teenagers, or retirees.
59 Million “unknowns”
59 Million that don’t work. They aren’t kids, they aren’t old people. How many people are on social security in America? 70M. With 40M 65+ that aren’t working still (yes, I know, they could be 65+, working, and on SSI) that leaves 30M on SSI, that aren’t old people.
59 Million unknowns, and 30 Million non-retirees on Social Security, so I’m going to translate that to mean that there are 30M under 65 “disabled” SSI recipients, leaving 29M that are truly unknown-unknowns. Non-working, non-SSI receiving “what’s”?
There’s roughly 582,000 “homeless” but of course, there is no way to know if any of them work, or collect SSI, or how many are kids, or how many are old folks… just a side fact I suppose.
41.9 million people in 22.2 million households received SNAP benefits (Food Stamps). That translates to 12.5% of the total U.S. population of 335M.
Subsidized Housing- *0
Out of the 4.8 million households receiving housing assistance, 2.1 million households receive housing vouchers.
3 million households rent residences in Section 8.
Families stay in the section 8 program for an average of six years.
Most eligible households only consist of two members, on average.
43% of families in section 8 housing are families with children. 42% of these families with children have a female head of household.
43% of households that participate in Section 8 have at least one disabled family member.
The numbers-
335 Million - Total US population *1 Caveat #1
158.3 Million - Total of all workers in the US *2
23 Million - Total government workers at all levels *3
70 Million - Total US inhabitants on Social Security *4
82 Million - Total inhabitants that are 19 yo and under *5
54 Million - Total inhabitants 65 yo and older *6 Caveat #2
4 Million - Total of 16-19 yo working, 20% of roughly 20 million *7
13.9 Million - Total of 65-74 yo’s that work *8 25.8% of 54 million
158 M workers minus 23 M government employees =
135 M non-government workers
5.86 non-govt. workers per 1 govt. worker
177 Million - Total number non-working inhabitants (335M-158M=177M)
60.5 Million - Total inhabitants 14 yo and under
16 Million - Total non-working 16-19 yo
40 Million - 65 yo and older that are not part of the 25.8% that are still working
60 Million “unknowns” - They’re not kids (14 and under), they’re not the non-working 16-19 yo, they’re not seniors (65 and older not still working), so… what are they?
30 Million - Likely disabled under 65
30 Million - Unknown-Unknowns - total question mark
23 Million - Govt. employees
83 Million - Govt. employees plus unknowns/disabled/unknown-unknowns
1.62 non-govt. employees per government employee and/or unknowns/disabled
Basically, for every 1.6 private sector employees, there is 1 government employee or person that just doesn’t work for whatever reason.
135 Million private sector workers, versus 83 million govt. employees and unknowns.
Well, what are those 60M “unknowns”? There are 54M that are 65+, and while 25.8 of those 65-74 are still working, how many of the 74+ is working? They don’t work, we know that much. They aren’t non-working children.
Caveat #1 - There is no knowing how many fresh illegal aliens
Caveat #2 - I realize that many 65+ yo’s still work, 25.8% *8
*******************************************************************************************
All, I lost my mojo for this one, in part because there are now literally millions of illegal aliens getting untold amounts as they cross the border, illegally, and monthly stipends of $$?? after that… however, the rest of the data is still solid, if anyone would like to draw their own conclusions with the numbers. -MM
Actually, your statistics are horribly skewed, and I will tell you why. You state: "There are 135M working Americans that don’t work for the government at any level, but 23M that are government employees of some ilk." That is the official figure. The reality is, that of those 135 million, many are working in industries that are almost completely subsidized by the government. For example, there are companies that and machine shops that contract exclusively with the department of defense. There are transport companies- I am thinking of those that assemble those horrible and completely useless "wind farms"- that are completely subsidized by the "department of energy".
In 2008 we hit a "critical mass" where more of the economy was directly dependent on government spending versus the "free market economy". That is the main reason why companies like Amazon, for example, have survived and even vastly expanded despite never having a profitable quarter in its entire history; it is absolutely bloated with gov't subsidies. This also goes for companies like Greyhound, which makes most of its money transporting US military personal, and many construction conglomerates, which make most of their money on HUD projects.
The bottom line is that our tax dollars directly support these "private sector employees" too.
(The reality at this point, I believe, is that the US gov't is funding most of its activities by just printing money out of thin air.)
Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us. You are our only hope!
