4 July 2023 - 247 Years - It's Time To Face The Fact That America Has Failed!
America was a great idea, and we had our moments, but we have failed, so it's time to ask "Why?"
One of the most difficult realizations that I have ever faced is the reality that America, in idea, and in practice, has completely failed.
Let’s face it- Our supposed freedom has never been more oppressed, the entire Bill of Rights is shredded, with not one single provision still intact. States’ Rights are virtually erased as the federal government is nearly all powerful. The courts do not protect our rights, Congress doesn’t write, or pass actual laws anymore, just giant bills written by special interest groups, think tanks, and lobbying lawyer teams. We are taxed, and fined, and charged for everything that they can dream of, all the while they simultaneously act like our money is real and tangible when it comes time to help The People, but they also create trillions out of thin air, to spend on whatever they want, and dole it out to their cronies, the donor class, and the big businesses that support, and hire, and fund them. Our government lies to us constantly, including deceiving us into wars that we do not want, they fund terrorists around the world for “empire”, they assassinate foreign leaders, kill millions in our name, and cause mayhem around the globe, as they have been doing for many decades. The behemoth that is our bloated federal government is worth than worthless. Not only do they bleed the coffers dry with their corruption, the regulatory bodies are captured by the very industries they are meant to regulate. They surveil all of us, all the time, in everything we do. They unequally apply our laws, prosecute and punish our citizens, or let others go scott free. They also constantly push their insane social policies on us, not as honest ideas, but as forced loyalty oaths to corrupt our minds, and undermine our spirits, trying to make us into totally compliant, unquestioning automatons. The supreme guiding document that is meant to underpin the entire nation, the Constitution, is nothing but a historical reminder of what this country was intended to be, but failed to achieve.
If any of this is news to any of you, then I would contend that you are either asleep, willfully ignorant, or in complete denial of reality. I won’t try to convince you, for that, you need to educate yourself by doing your own research. What I intend to do here, is explain the many reasons why I think that the United States failed.
So, let’s start at the very beginning:
The Constitution-
First of all, and I want to be very clear about this, the US Constitution is a supremely well crafted document. The founding fathers were exceedingly brilliant, and what they created was arguably the finest founding document, set of principles, and organization of government, perhaps ever conceived by man. It’s smart, elegant, concise and comprehensive. So, it isn’t the Constitution itself that failed. What failed is the idea that a document, any document, no matter how well done, can serve as the cornerstone of a society. I believe it was traitor George W. Bush that stated “the constitution is just a goddamned piece of paper”, and it a way, he was right. It is just a document. Sure, it’s one that millions have taken an oath to support and defend, but those oaths are only as good as the men that made them, and increasingly, those men have no honor. If they had any honor, and followed their oath, they would immediately declare war on their own government.
Moreover, the Constitution came under almost immediate challenge after it’s implementation, and with each challenge, it lost and federalism won, up to and including the civil war. Everyday federalism grows stronger, and the cost is vastly diminished States’ rights, and the near elimination of individual rights. At this moment, no US citizen can even list the dozens of law enforcement agencies that could come and lawfully arrest them, at any second, for any one of thousands of potential crimes. We are victim to the tyranny of more laws, regulations, and statutes, than any human that has lived in all of recorded history, while also living under the oppression of the largest, most complicated, and heavily armed/militarized law enforcement conglomeration ever made. Does any of that sound like “freedom”? Does it sound like a people with God given Rights?
Basically, a professed adherence to a document, obviously doesn’t work. For as well constructed as our system of government is, basing it on the Constitution, and the men that swore their oath to protect and follow it, has not worked. It eroded, and now, means almost nothing.
The Civil War-
I know it isn’t popular to say it these days, but the South, i.e. The Confederacy, should have been allowed to secede unmolested. Similar to previous challenges to The Union, any and every state should be allowed to secede from the union at any time, and for any reason. The formulation of the “United States” was not intended as a suicide pact, nor as inseverable. Quite the opposite actually.
This was probably our first major test as a nation, and we failed. This really cemented the advance of federalism, and the end of States’ Rights. One might say that this sealed our fate.
But I know, I know, I can hear the cacophony “What about Slavery!"?” First of all, as most learned people know, the civil war wasn’t all about slavery. Lincoln even stated that he would be willing to allow slavery to last forever, if he could end the war, and “preserve the union”. Additionally, slavery was on the way to it’s natural end anyway, because the economics was doomed. But, none of that matters now, because…
Slavery-
First of all, slavery was bad, just in general, but also, it was a tragic legal and moral juxtaposition to everything the nation portended to espouse at it’s founding. Secondly, I think we can all agree that the nation would be much better off if it had never occurred. I don’t think this point needs belabored, but even the national economic benefits of it, in retrospect, weren’t worth the enormous amount of trouble it has caused, and part of that definitely starts with the civil war. Talk about the juice not being worth the squeeze, we’re still paying for it, with no end in sight.
WWI, WWII, Endless Wars, Standing Army-
One of the founding principles regarded having a standing army; We weren’t supposed to, hence, in part, the Second Amendment and the armed citizen militia. Also, we intentionally did not want to get entangled in the unending history of European wars; Well, we sure fucked that up! We should have stayed out of WWI, and WWII should have never happened, and FDR helped trap us into WWII by allowing Pearl Harbor to happen. You can also make the case that we created the Cold War, which lead to the endless state of undeclared war ever since the end of WWII.
The Founders knew the perils of standing armies, but here again, their words were not heeded. Worst still, for many of us, the US hasn’t known true peace within our entire lifetimes. So, we are apparently a war nation, like the Mongols. One war after another, endlessly. What possible good can come from that?
Empire-
However we got here, past the two world wars and the cold war, we seemingly decided that we would rule the world, as an empire, placing our military all over the world. I don’t remember voting for that, but like so many things in this so called Democratic Republic, Big Government leads the way, and the rest of us are just along for the ride, like it or not. Sometimes, they will even conscript you to go die in their unnecessary, foreign, illegal wars, like Vietnam. A place we should have never been.
Same question; When did We the People vote in favor of fighting one war after another, undeclared, illegally, and in foreign countries? Our goddamned government basically used the political capital of the two supposedly “righteous wars”, WWI & WWII, to sell the public on Korea, almost Cuba, Vietnam, (Cambodia and Laos extra illegally), then the silly war I took part in, which at least we won outright, Desert Storm, but it was a pretty hollow victory, since we’d go back to Iraq again just over a decade later.
I guess some of us are particularly disadvantaged because we got to watch the folly of the Soviets in Afghanistan, the “graveyard of empires” as we laughed and laughed… but that became less funny when we decided to go in later too, based on that sham 9/11 “attack”.
It might even be more tolerable if we chose to win any of these wars, but apparently, the military industrial complex prefers that we fight them forever, then lose and get humiliated.
The Military Industrial Complex and The CIA-
Perhaps Eisenhower should have done something about it, other than just warn us, but either way… I don’t know how much of our government they actually control, but apparently it’s enough to keep us in endless wars. It’s easy to blame the Cold War, which was a byproduct of WWI and WWII, but that makes less sense since we didn’t STOP trying to “beat communism” (read as: world domination) after Soviet Communism collapsed on itself. Arguably, not even due to anything that we did.
If you try to defy their wishes, they’ll just blow your head off in Dallas and kill your brother too, How’s that Constitution working for you? Good, Bad, or Ugly?
Also, as if all the previous wars weren’t stupid enough, now we are doing this stunt in the Ukraine, which will probably get us into WWIII, so we’ve got that going for us.
Of course, not satisfied with only starting a war with Russia, we also seem to have some burning desire to simultaneously get one going with China too. I’m not sure who in the world thinks that’s winnable, but I’m sure I didn’t vote for either.
Honest Question; Did Congress?
Congress-
Despite the genius that the founders put into designing the federal government, we’ve pretty much abandoned every aspect of it. Our House and Senate is just kabuki theater, as they have surrendered almost all of their power to the executive branch; the bloated behemoth that it is. The clowns that are in them don’t write laws, lobbyists do. They don’t read laws, their staff supposedly does. The multi-thousand page “bills” that get dumped on Congress to pass without reading, are beyond outrageous. If the traitors in Congress had any integrity whatsoever, they would refuse to pass anything that broad, comprehensive, and mysterious, just on principle. As if electing feckless morons that think islands can capsize and sink, or tip over, we have gotten into the habit of electing a hapless bunch of traitorous morons, over and over again. We aren’t meant to re-elect the members of the House every two years, so that people can be in it for 30 and 40 years.
Even if every other aspect of our government wasn’t corrupt and dysfunctional, the mere fact that we continue to elect career politicians, in sham, stolen, corrupt elections, would be poisonous enough.
Politicians were supposed to come from the private sector, serve a term or two, then return to the private sector. They were never intended to make their entire lives about being in “the government”. Of course that, coupled with the inherent corruption and money, obviously leads to corruption in government at the highest levels.
But beyond all the other ways that Congress has abdicated their responsibilities, surely one of the worst was the creation of our money.
Central Banking, the Federal Reserve, Fake Fiat Currency, and MMT-
The government used to make our money, then came central banking, the federal reserve, and fiat currency. Our money isn’t real, it’s borrowed at interest, just to be printed, and that’s before most of it became digitized 1’s & 0’s in banking computers, AND that was before Modern Monetary Theory came along, and since, even the feintest semblance of actual tax and spend economics.
We’re still “taxed”, taxed to death some might say, but our government, in conjunction with the federal reserve can create a trillion dollars overnight, just to bail out the banks, or save the stock market. It’s impossible to overstate the fact that our current system of “money” is totally, completely, and indisputably FAKE.
But if that’s not bad enough, there are also, conveniently, HUNDREDS OF TRILLIONS in “circulation”. Why? In part because someone decided that the fake US Dollar would be the world’s reserve currency. Well, you can’t be the primary currency of all world trade, while having it be real money, and only what is procured in taxes from the earnings of the citizens.
Oh, and the federal income tax is also unconstitutional, but nevermind that fact, ponder this- The federal government doesn’t need any tax revenue, because all of the money is fake anyway. Social Security doesn’t need to go bankrupt, because the fake, made out of thin air money, Federal tax revenues have zero relationship with federal spending.
Just do the math, we take in ~4 trillion a year, spend ~6-7 trillion, and can magically create 20 trillion in just a couple of years? Literally creating hundreds of trillions to spread around the world? Add to that another few hundred trillions in unfunded liabilities, and we’re supposed to act like it’s real money?
It’s literally like playing a game of Monopoly with a few friends, but the guy managing the bank, has 177,000 extra copies of the game in the back room, so every time he goes to the bathroom, or gets a drink, he is grabbing all the money he can carry, and returning to the game. You’re playing by the rules, and victim to all the pressures of the game, and he’s buying up every property on the board, as his piles of money keep spilling over onto the floor. To say that “the game is rigged” is a gross understatement. Why is it so incredibly rigged?
Moral, Ethical, and Educational Decay-
The United States was formulated for a moral, ethical, God fearing population that was educated on the matters of the world, including history (like the history of the never ending wars in Europe). Do you know why people were required to place their hand on a bible, and swear to “tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth”? Because to morally upright Christians of the time, to lie afterward would be to risk eternal damnation. Why? Because they believed in God, and that “oath” was sacred. You can’t have a system of government and justice, where everybody lies all the time.
We are no longer a moral people, ethics hardly exist, and most of the citizens in this country, whether they vote or not, don’t even know how our government is supposed to work. Asking them about politics would be like asking me about the plotline on some Mexican Telenovela that been running daily for 20 years. They’re ignorant, and it’s not a bug, it’s a feature. The majority of the public has no idea what is going on, and they don’t understand enough civics to see that their government is a total sham.
They don’t know, they don’t vote, and they don’t care. In this regard, they’re not even citizens, they are hapless subjects to powers they don’t even know exist.
What, for example, is the value of the oath taken by our politicians, to uphold the Constitution, when they are immoral, no integrity grifters, traitors, cowards and liars? It means less than nothing, it’s just theater.
Our system(s), as conceived, cannot work with an immoral people. Start with our criminal justice system; It wasn’t designed for a bunch of sociopathic liars, nor was it meant for immoral people to stage a false defense in their attempt to get away with their actual crimes. It wasn’t made for millions of people to be part of a criminal underclass, if it were, it would be like East Germany. Just like the game of Monopoly isn’t made for a cheating banker.
As far as ethics, look at the numbers of cheaters in our society, they cheat on their spouses, cheat at sports, cheat in their business dealings, cheat at everything! Our country was not made with a bunch of cheaters in mind, it doesn’t afford for that, just like it doesn’t afford for dishonest people to take an oath that they do not intend to follow in any form or fashion. Take for example
The Stock Market-
Periodically, some individual gets busted for running a Ponzi scheme, but our entire stock market is a Ponzi scheme. First, it’s hyper-inflated with all that fake money, and it’s in no way reflected of the actual value of the businesses and commerce in America. Hell, calling it “the stock market” is a lie, with it’s derivatives, puts, shorts, options, money markets, bundles, mutual funds, hedge funds, and all forms of speculations; It’s a rigged casino run by cheating carnies. Then add the cheating described above! Insider trading, leveraging hostile takeovers, buying companies just to liquidate them. That’s not “stock investing”, it’s a scam.
Everything Else Under The Sun-
I could probably write a ten thousand page book on the countless ways that America has failed to achieve it’s ideals, but I think you get the picture.
We had a pretty good run, depending on when you decide to say that it ended, but that end is obvious now. The societal rot internally, coupled with our grotesque version of diplomacy fielded abroad, and it’s wonder that the entire planet hasn’t ganged up to destroy us, and many a getting very close.
As empires go, we did okay, for a while, I guess, but that is all coming to an end now. Even if we don’t succeed at convincing the Russians to launch a nuclear war against us, the period of global US hegemony is in it’s final chapter. We were just too abusive to too many countries, for too long. We overplayed our hand, repeatedly, and they’re just not having it anymore.
China is in a position to destroy our economy overnight, and while they too will suffer, they can turn around and sell their cheap goods to the rest of the world, whereas we don’t have any options to get all of that same cheap shit from other countries. China manipulates their currency too, so they keep their imports cheap, which they can make cheaper for other countries too. Whereas, we have no card to play, to circumvent what we purchase from them, and it would take 10, 20, 30 years to undo what has been done.
Also, once again, I don’t remember getting to vote on whether we want to gamble everything for the sake of the Ukraine, Taiwan, or both. Since when are either so critical to us? They’re not economic allies, strategic allies, or global partners. Are you ready to go die for either? Or send your children to die there? Are we interested in another Vietnam, just because “somebody” wants it?
And why is our foreign policy, seemingly controlled by Israel? I know that “America First” policies have become a dirty word, but when are we ever going to do something that helps our country and our citizens?
We’re allowing mass illegal immigration, but crying “Havoc!” over the Russians taking a small piece of the Ukraine!? Why the fuck should we even care? Nevermind the gross hypocrisy of us having just left Afghanistan and almost leaving Iraq, and we’ve got the nerve to criticize the Russians for their SMO right on their own border?
Nope, this country is over. All that is left is the shouting, the crying, the screaming and the dying.
